About Ms. Jenelle

Hi There!

Thank you for visiting my blog, I am so glad you found me! It is my pleasure to share with you the things I am learning as I go through my first year (and hopefully many more) as a teacher at Aveson School of Leaders.

I received my bachelor of arts degree in liberal studies from California Baptist University in 2008. After that I attended Cal Poly Pomona for my teaching credential which I received in 2011. For the past 2 school years I have worked as a substitute teacher. During that time I completed 2 long term sub assignments for teachers who had precious babies. My first long term sub assignment was in a 3rd and 4th grade combination class at the Fontana Unified School District. This past year my assignment was in a 4th and 5th grade all inclusive math and projects classroom at Aveson School of Leaders in Altadena, CA. During my time at Aveson, I fell in love with the school, and was lucky enough to be offered a position for the 2013-2014 school year. I will be teaching a program called Independent Studies. This program will house 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and I will be teaching all subjects in addition to many other things. I am excited to share my journey with the world, and document my experiences in order to learn how to become the best teacher I can be!

Aside from teaching, I love spending time with my Boyfriend Billy.

Hanging out with my two younger sisters.

Running.

And being the best Mom I can be to be beautiful baby Bellatrix!
